The Brooks-Range Adventure Racing UTM Plotter™ is an essential tool for any serious adventure racer. It includes the five UTM map scales most commonly used in adventure races:

Cartographers designed and oversaw production of this unique tool to comply with USGS standards for accuracy – it is accurate within 1/50th of an inch – about the size of a period at the end of this sentence.
At only 4 inches square the Adventure Racing UTM Reader easily fits in a pocket, and its non-glare, flexible plastic material prevents broken corners or tearing in cold and severe conditions. Highlighted with red, each corner ruler allows you to plot a UTM coordinate within a 1km map grid with at least 10m precision. The UTM grids are inscribed as corner rulers for easiest use on almost any topo map.
A Compass Rose, Inclinometer and Common Conversions are also included. All these features make the Brooks-Range Adventure Racing UTM Plotter as necessary for adventure racing and orienteering as a map or compass.
